| Welcome to the exciting world of academics at the International School of Dakar! Founded in 1983, the International School of Dakar is an independent English-medium school which offers a rigorous, US-based curriculum in a nurturing environment.
The school has three divisions, which are as follows: - Elementary School: Pre-School through 5th Grade
- Middle School: 6th Grade through 8th Grade
- High School: 9th Grade through 12th Grade
A variety of programs are offered in areas of academics, fine arts, sports, and after-school activities. School hours are from 8:30 AM until 3:00 PM., and from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM for Pre-School. Business hours are from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM, Monday through Thursday and from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM on Fridays. Classes usually start the last week in August, and normally end on the second Friday in June.
